Jessica B. Harris: "The Welcome Table"

Jessica B Harris has spent the better part of her life educating people about the varied and timeless culinary traditions of the African diaspora. Whether through classes at CUNY, her My Welcome Table podcast, articles in Essence and New Amsterdam News, or in the impressive twelve books she's penned on the subject, she has worked to inform and enlighten people as to the cultural significance of African food.
In "The Welcome Table" Harris explores the diversity of African food. Through recipes ranging from the classical to the contemporary, her foray into the many unique styles of African cooking lends historical context to the way that we enjoy food today.
The four-course tasting menu with beverage pairings is included in the $65 per person price.

Due to the abbreviated menu, we regret we are unable to accommodate guests who are lactose intolerant or wish to eliminate gluten from their diet. We are happy to substitute vegetarian options for any course containing animal proteins.
